Approved for Temporary Resident Visas for Mexico – We’ve gone legit!

One and half hours at the Mexican Consulate in Kansas City (plus lots of documentation and paperwork) was all it took to get our temporary resident visas for Mexico. Once we reach Playa del Carmen one of the first things we’ll need to do is visit immigration in Cancun to finalize the visas. This will make them good for 1-4 years. Honestly, we’re not sure until we go to immigration how that length of time is determined. And the very nice Alejandro who helped us here in Kansas City couldn’t tell us either. Not wonder we’ve had the hardest time figuring out visa requirements – Alejandro admitted they weren’t quite clear on the new laws either. Guess we’re all holding hands and jumping in the deep end together to see what happens.
