I was working at my desk a few minutes ago when I remembered it was Friday and I needed a picture for this week’s Mexico Minute. It being Friday, I didn’t want to work very hard so I just turned around and snapped a picture off the balcony outside our office here in Patzcuaro. Yep, this is it. The view from the office. A hundreds of year old church in the foreground, the massive El Estribo mountain in the background and barely visible in the center left is the giant statue of Jose Morelos on Janitzio Island. Not too shabby eh? But, something’s very wrong here – I’ve begun to take this spectacular scene for granted. That is unacceptable so I’m clocking out now to start the weekend and enjoy this view properly, with a book and a comfy chair in the sun. Hope you all have a great weekend!
