Sailing Away

I swear, some days it feels like I am living inside of an actual postcard. Tequila, Jalisco

I live in Mexico and I do not like tequila. Or mezcal. In fact, I’d go so far as to say I hate it. I do not like the taste, or the smell or anything remotely associated with it. This is all rather embarrassing to admit because it is pretty much the official drink of Mexico and is inescapable here. It Two for one maragaritas at happy hour? Not interested. The complementary, after-dinner chocolate tequila that the restaurant has sent over? No thanks.  Tequila and coffee? Ok, well maybe if it’s served with coffee….But I tend to think I’m alone…
